Stamping mark on the fabled Anglo-Indian cuisine of the erstwhile second British empire, celebrity chef-entrepreneur Anjan Chatterjee now recreates a Ripon Street household in his flagship Bengali specialty joint.

From boneless turkey to roasted duck satiated with vintage wine the offerings and the decor will resemble the interiors of Anglo Indian neighbourhood like Ripon street, Bow Barracks and Beckbagan - in the flagship arm of the speciality cusine frequented by celebs in Mumbai and Kolkata.

"Based on the inputs of the members of Anglo-Indian community, living in the city for generations, and Britishers we have sought to make the delicacies stripped of the typical restaurant flavor and used the herbs and spices they use for years within their households," the pricipal chef of Anjan's 'Oh Calcutta' said.

In sync with the practice of Christian households, the turkey will be on platter from the December 25th noon, apart from the homegrown chicken sausage, meatball curry and lemonade lamb chop to wrap it up with Caramel Pudding, he said.

"The rich legacy of Anglo-Indian Kolkatans thrives in Fish Pantheras, a pancake roll around a filling of spiced and minced fish and the legendary Anglo Indian Bhuna Duck and Yellow Rice with Butter without which no Sunday lunch would be complete. With many families not getting the ingredients to rustle up the dishes any more, they can visit our place," Anjan said.
