Supporters of former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in his home district of Hamirpur today erupted in jubilation when he was chosen as the BJP's chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.
The supporters celebrated by distributing sweets, dancing and burning crackers. They have also planned a grand reception tomorrow for party chief Amit Shah and Dhumal on their arrival here.
Talking to reporters, Dhumal thanked the party high command for reposing faith in him to lead the party.

The BJP leader said he was sure that the announcement would be made at the right time and expressed confidence that the party would win more than sixty seats and form a government in state.
Hans Raj Hans, a popular Punjabi singer, who was accompanying Dhumal, said the announcement would silence the theCongress leaders who were claiming that the BJP would go into the elections without any chief ministerial face.
