Singer Celine Dion has paid tribute to her husband Rene Angelil, who had passed a year ago on January 14, by sharing a video

The 48-year-old singer took to Facebook to honour Rene who had died at the age of 73 after battling throat cancer, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Dion captioned the video as, "Today, January 14th, it's been a year since Rene left us. He will always be in our hearts."

The video is a montage of Rene's family photos and footage which takes the viewer through his life.

One can also see Rene grow through the video's span - right from his upbringing years in Montreal, Canada to his wedding to Dion and other cherished moments with near and dear ones.

Dion had also paid homage to her husband in October's ADISQ Gala by saying, "(Rene was) not only one of the greatest visionaries of the Quebec music industry. He had an immense respect for people who had that passion. (He) always thought of others before he thought of himself.
