The body of 50-year-old Shravan Kumar Gupta was recovered from his flat situated at Burtand under Sadar police station, Superintendent of Police R K Dhan told reporters here.
The maid servant alerted the neighbours around 8 am when she found Gupta lying dead and doors open, he added.
Gupta, who works for a cement company, was alone at home as his ailing wife is undergoing treatment in Delhi. Their two children are also in Delhi, the police officer said.
