State-run Central Bank of India today posted 9.67 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 112.87 crore for the July-September quarter of 2015-16 fiscal.
The bank had reported Rs 102.91 crore net profit in the similar period last year.
In a regulatory filing, it said bank's total income increased to Rs 7,104.19 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 7,021.1 crore in the second quarter ended September 2014.

However, the gross non-performing asset (NPA) increased to 6.86 per cent of advances in the second quarter of 2015-16 from 6.14 per cent in the corresponding year last fiscal.
The net NPA too was high at 3.83 per cent compared to 3.38 per cent.
Central Bank's shares closed down 2.81 per cent at Rs 67.45 apiece on the BSE.
