More facilities have been added to the Mangalore Central Library and the capacity has been doubled to 5,000 square feet.
A browsing section with six computers having high speed internet has been provided, Mangalore Central Library deputy director K V Raghavendra said in a statement here.
The Mangalore City Corporation had sanctioned Rs 1 crore with which 20 libraries including the central library are managed. The fund was generated from the six percent library cess collected by the Corporation.
A children's section with a small play area has also been built.
