Central team visits Cuddalore district

The nine member inter-ministerial central team assessing the damage suffered by Tamil Nadu due to torrential rains arrived Cuddalore today.

The team, led by Joint Secretary in the Union Home Ministry TVSN Prasad, discussed with District Collector S Suresh Kumar about the damages in the district.

The team visited Periya Kattupalayam one of the worst affected areas in the district.

Prasad also interacted with Visur and Periyakattupalayam villagers.

Prasad told reporters they they would submit a final report to Union Home Ministry on December one.

K.Venkatesan, District Farmers Association President submit a petition demanding Rs.25,000 per acre crop loss and waive off the bank loans.
