"Farmers in the state need 14.80 lakh quintals of various seeds during this Kharif season. But the government could distribute only 3.10 lakh quintals," he told reporters on the sidelines of a private function.
Expressing dismay over distribution of cotton seeds in the district, the former chief minister said that farmers in Telangana region are left with no option but to purchase cotton seeds from neighbouring Maharashtra and Karnataka due to the shortage.
