"The government has miserably failed in instilling confidence in the people of the nation, which has resulted in such an outburst among them.
"After that too, it has failed to deal with the situation allowing the demonstration to turn violent gradually," Raje said while addressing a gathering in the annual trade fair 'Swadeshi Mela' here.
She said that the government appears paralysed as it has not yet come out with a firm stand on the gang-rape case.
