The Union Ministry of Textiles has approved a Rs 20 crore Integrated Skill Development Scheme (ISDS) for implementation in Haryana in addition to existing ones for generating more employment for the youth.
This information was given by Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma in a written reply to a question during the ongoing budget session of Haryana Assembly.
Sharma stated that under the scheme 75 per cent of the training cost would be provided by the Ministry of Textiles and the remaining would be contributed by the State.

He informed that curriculum approved by Director General Employment and Training (DGET), Government of India, under Skill Development Initiative Scheme based on Modular Employable Skills (MES) would be taught.
To another question, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij informed that the Health Department has taken many steps to prevent cancer and swine flu cases in the state.
In a written reply to another question raised by MLAs Karan Singh Dalal and Hari Chand Middha, Vij stated that the Department has developed five types of posters on lifestyle changes, daily exercise benefits, balanced diet, healthy eating habits and common symptoms of cancer for generating awareness by displaying in health institutions of the state.
Vij further stated that cancer patients are being given treatment benefit under various schemes like Rashtrya Aarogya Nidhi Scheme and Mukhya Mantri Muft Ilaaz Yojna.
A total of 3,218 deaths have been reported due to cancer in the state in 2014-15, it was further informed.
For the prevention of swine flu in the state the government has taken various steps.
Vij said that the treatment protocol is being strictly followed as per guidelines of the Centre and swine flu cases have been categorized as category A, B and C depending upon the severity.
The Health Department is providing free Tamiflu to all the patients of swine flu attending the Government Institutions and their contacts.
A total of 8,520 Tamiflu has been given to patients and their contacts.
He said that all the districts are prepared to provide ventilator services by making liaison with the private setups as and when required. A total of 70 ventilators are available in Government Medical Colleges and District hospitals and 254 ventilators have been identified in private institutes and isolation wards with 142 beds have been identified in all the districts.
