Centre assures to look into garment export related issues

Union Commerce and Industry ministry has assured the readymade garment exporters to help to address various export related issues.

The assurance was given when a delegation of Tirupur Exporters' Association (TEA) and presented a memorandum to commerce and industry minister Suresh Prabhu at New Delhi yesterday.

The main issues TEA referred to are rebate of state levies, GST paid, amended technology ppgradation fund scheme, capital subsidy impacting the export growth, TEA President, Raja M Shanmuigham said in a release here today.

The delegation also met the Commerce and Industry Secretary Rita A Teaoltia and Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant.
