The Union Government is concerned about the damage caused by wild animals to the crops in the field, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said here today.
"If the state government sends a proposal to find a solution to the menace, the Centre will consider it with sympathy," the minister said, speaking at a meeting of Maharashtra BJP Kisan Morcha (farmer wing).
"Crop damage in the state is caused by elephants, wild boars and monkeys," the minister said. "The Centre is concerned that crop gets damaged and farmers suffer losses," he said.
