Centre, Raj govt ready to deal with drought situation: Pilot

In view of the prevailing situation, efforts were being made by the Centre and the state government to provide relief to people, Union Minister of state for Telecommunications and IT Sachin Pilot said at a public function in Dudu town of the district.

"The government is prepared and all arrangements would be made in the public interest," he said after dedicating a grid sub-station to people in Dudu.

Pilot said that the procedure to issue necessary documents and papers to people would be made easier through Information Technology.

The power demand has increased in the state due scarce rainfall and alternative arrangements were being made to ensure proper electricity supply, state energy minister Jitendra Singh said.
