Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today alleged that the Centre was reducing funds allocated for the state through Niti Aayog.

"Fund allocations for the state, which gave maximum MPs to BJP, have been reduced," he alleged at a rally in Kursi area to launch various schemes.

"The Finance Commission allocated funds for the state, but Niti Aayog reduced it. The Centre claims it is allocating more funds for the states, but if the experts explore it they will find the funds are being reduced," Akhilesh claimed.

He alleged that Uttar Pradesh is not getting "expected cooperation" from the Centre, and claimed that the state government has launched several developmental schemes with its own resources.

"Never before such a large number of recruitment was done in the state. One lakh more recruitments will be done by the SP government in the coming times," he said.
