Centre replies to Thakur, says his request under consideration

The Central government informed UP IPS officer Amitabh Thakur that it has received its request for cadre change and is currently considering it, his wife and social activist Nutan Thakur claimed today.

Thakur had written to the Central government on June 16 seeking change in his parent cadre of Uttar Pradesh, alleging that he and his wife were fearing for their lives for raising voice against the "powerful people."

He again wrote to the Ministry of Home Affairs on September 22 and sought the status of the first application via RTI, Nutan said.

The ministry in its reply said that the application dated June 16 has not been received till date but they have received September 22 application which is under consideration.
