"Reform policies should be tested in Parliament and put to vote and we will see," Karat said in a function held here to observe the 93rd anniversary of the communist party.
"Whenever the authority of the UPA government diminishes, it turns more aggressive to bring in more and more anti-people reforms measures," he said.
"Neo-liberal policies of the Congress-led government at the Centre has returned the medieval values which has been reflected in the reform policies affecting the common man's interests," Karat said.
He alleged that there was a nexus between foreign capital, bureaucracy and some political leaders leading to corruption cases from 2G spectrum to allocation of coal blocks.
"....Latest being the shady land deal of Robert Vadra. You will find this nexus is active everywhere so far as corruption is concerned," he said.
The CPI(M) leader was also critical of the Haryana government's handling of crime against women in the state and alleged that no concrete step has been taken against khap panchayats.
