Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav today accused the BJP led governments at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh of raking up communal issues.

"Politics without issues is against the people....BJP led governments at the Centre and state (UP) are raking up communal issues and ignoring development," he said at a party function here.

The basic character of RSS and BJP is communal and there is need to remain vigilant as no one knows to which direction they will take the country and its democracy, he claimed.

Yadav alleged that the BJP governments cannot do anything good for the poor and farmers as they have ties with the corporate world

"RSS and BJP only know how to grab power on the basis of money and power, but politics which betrays the people cannot last long," he said.

The former chief minister said that his party's had provided the basis of development by extending services like road, power, water and infrastructure but the Yogi Adityanath led government has no concern for taking the work forward.

They are trying to mislead on the issue of development, Yadav said.

There is anarchy all over and the situation is such that there is no rule of law, the former chief minister said.
