Centre to give assistance for Higher Education institutes

The Centre would take all necessary steps to solve the problems faced by higher education institutions in infrastructure development, Union Minister Satya Pal Singh said today.

Speaking here after interacting with heads of various higher education institutes in Kerala, Singh said Centre would provide assistance to raise their academic standards.

The Minister of State for Human Resource Development (Higher Education) said that the development proposals submitted by Institutes like IISER is under consideration of the government and a favourable decision will soon be taken in this regard, an official release said.

Lack of sufficient number of faculty and staff is affecting the functioning of many institutes, he said.
 

The Minister assured that the issues put forward by higher education institutes will be solved in a time bound manner and a meeting of concerned officials will be convened in New Delhi immediately for discussing this.
