Union Minister Kalraj Mishra today said the Centre would open 15 more tool rooms throughout the country to provide technical training to the youths and help them get a job.
A tool room is being set up in Himachal Pradesh, the Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) said, adding 18 tool rooms are currently in operation in the country.
Mishra who was here for the inauguration of 'Geeta Fair' said, a tool room is being set up at the compound of the now defunct Mayur Mill in Kanpur at a cost of Rs 100 core and would be inaugurated this month.

All the industries here including textile, leather, hosiery, would be involved to train the graduates of the city and help them build a source of income, he said adding it would also help the industries get trained personnel.
In the neighbouring district of Kannauj, the Centre is taking many steps like providing technical knowhow to help its traditional attar industry, the Union Minister said.
The government has directed the PSUs to buy 20 per cent of its supplies from small industries, Mishra added.
