Pay and perks of anti-corruption officials working in central public sector undertakings and departments, are likely to be rationalised as part of an exercise aimed at ending discrepancies in career-related benefits enjoyed by them.
A committee has been constituted in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for reassessment and rationalisation of pay, incentives and allowances of Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs), who act as distant arms of the Central Vigilance Commission.
All ministries and departments have been asked to provide information on perks in cash and kind, any other allowance and benefits, besides their salary, a communication sent by the DoPT to secretaries of central government ministries said.

The move follows complaints by some CVOs about discrepancies in benefits enjoyed them.
