Leading plywood and veneer maker Century Plyboards today reported an increase of 54.27 per cent in its standalone net profit to Rs 39.68 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted a standalone profit of Rs 25.72 crore in the April-June period of the last fiscal.
Net sales of the company on standalone basis was up 1.97 per cent to to Rs 367.97 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 360.84 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing Century Plyboards informed that its Board in a meeting held today has approved a proposal for setting-up a MDF Board unit at Punjab.
Shares of Century Plyboards settled the day 0.61 per cent down at Rs 195.95 on BSE.
