Cera Sanitaryware Q1 net up 21.91 pc at Rs 13.63 crore

Company had reported a net profit of Rs 11.18 crore during the same quarter a year ago

Bathroom products maker Cera Sanitaryware today reported 21.91% increase in standalone net profit at Rs 13.63 crore for the first quarter ending June 30, 2014.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 11.18 crore during the same quarter a year ago, Cera Sanitaryware said in a BSE filing.

Cera Sanitaryware's net sales in the quarter under review went up by 28.24% at Rs 162.33 crore as against Rs 126.58 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Overall expenses in the quarter stood at Rs 141.53 crore, an increase of 29.27% compared with Rs 109.48 crore in the same period a year ago.
 

Shares of Cera Sanitaryware were trading at Rs 1,208 apiece in the afternoon trade, down 5.01% from its previous close on the BSE.
