Home solutions brand Cera will be foraying to the Gulf market and opening a showroom in Dubai in December this year.

"This is the first time we are opening an overseas office. The showroom will function from a rented premises, Cera Executive Director Atul Sanghvi told PTI.

Currently, the company's exports were hardly two per cent, he said. "By opening a showroom we hope it will improve the brand image of Cera internationally and sales growth will happen in times to come," he said.

Cera today opened its style studio in the state capital, the second company display centre in the state and the 10th in India.

There are plans to launch mobile display vans and the first such one would be rolled out in Ahmedabad next week. Ten such vans would be launched by next month and fabrication work was going on, he said.

Dispite the market facing recession, CERA had grown by about 15 per cent in the first half of this fiscal and was targetting a growth of 20 per cent during the period.

In the last fiscal, CERA had clocked 25 per cent growth.

While last year's turnover was Rs 825 crore, the company hoped it would touch a four figure mark this year, though it would be difficult, he said.

CERA's manufacturing plant for sanitaryware with a capacity of three million pieces per annum in Kadi in North Gujarat is the largest single location plant in India today.

It has already entered into a Joint Venture to manufacture vitrified tiles in Andhra Pradesh and commercial production is expected to start soon.
