Some of the best films are those which deal with concerns of children with special needs, Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) Vice Chairperson Kavita Anand said here today at the ongoing 18th International Children's Film Festival of India (ICFFI).
Speaking at an 'open forum' discussion about 'Children With Special Needs: Representation in Cinema', she said that in recent times, some films have showcased unidentified problems of differently-abled children in a touching manner.
The CFSI is in talks with different schools and multiplexes to screen children's movies in a hassle-free manner, she said, according to an an official release.
Chinese film maker Hou Keming talked about his experience making a film for children with special needs.
Ayodhya Kumar, director of 'Minugurulu', the only Telugu movie which was selected for screening at ICFFI, said that differently-abled children are also capable of performing difficult tasks if they are provided some training.
The festival which began here on November 14, would conclude tomorrow.
