Avantha Group Company CG today said it has bagged an order worth USD 62 million, around Rs 410 crore, from PT PLN to manufacture and supply power transformers in Indonesia.

The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, construction and installation of these power transformers in the range of 30 MVA to 268 MVA, a company statement issued here stated.

These transformers would be installed in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Makassar islands of Indonesia with an aim to enhance the performance of PT PLN's transmission grid, it said.

The company has already booked USD 93 million worth orders for its turnkey products and solutions in the Indonesian market so far this year.

"The CG edge lies in providing indigenously built products and turnkey services that reflects global standards, while suiting local conditions. We look forward to being a part of many more collaborative efforts that involve building robust power transmission networks, in Indonesia and the rest of Asia," CG's Chief Executive and Managing Director Laurent Demortier said.

PT PLN with an installation base of 48,000 MW is the sole government-owned corporation in electricity generation, transmission and distribution in Indonesia.

From 2013 to 2022, PT PLN has a long-term plan for an additional generating capacity of 59,500 MW, with a total estimated expenditure of around USD 125 billion.
