'Chaar Sahibzaade' tax free in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand government today announced exemption of entertainment tax on 'Chaar Sahibzaade', which is an animation movie based on the life of four sons of tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh.

The decision was taken by Chief Minister Harish Rawat after representatives of the Uttarakhand Punjabi Mahasabha requested him to exempt the Harry Baweja-directed film from entertainment tax in the state, CM's Media In-charge Surendra Kumar said.

'Chaar Sahibzaade' is based on the sacrifices of the sons of 10th Sikh guru Guru Gobind Singh- Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh.

The Punjab government has also made the film tax free in the state.
