'Chadar' presented at Ajmer Dargah on behalf of Sonia

On the occasion of 803rd Urs of Sufi Saint, six senior Congress leaders today presented a Chadar on behalf of Congress president Sonia Gandhi at the tomb of Khawja Moinuddin Chisti dargah at Ajmer.

Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC president Sachin Pilot, leader of opposition (Congress) in Rajasthan House Rameshwar Dudi, AICC secretary and in-charge of party affairs in the state, Mirza Irshad Beg, chairman of AICC minority cell Khurshid Ahmed Sayeed, AICC secretary Juber Khan, Rajya Sabha MP Ashq Ali Tak, and former minister Duru Miyan paid obeisance and presented chadar at the dargah of the 11th century saint.
 

During offerings, a written message sent by Gandhi was read out in which she prayed for peace, integrity and happiness of people in the country, according to a PCC release here.

The annual Urs of the Sufi saint began on Monday.
