Chadha wins two close back-to-back contests to enter final

Maharashtra state junior and sub- junior champion Ishpreet Singh Chadha edged out Asian 6-Red bronze winner Laxman Rawat 4-3 to enter the final of the Malabar Hill Club-BSAM All India Under-25 Snooker Challenge 3 today.

Chadha, who survived anxious moments before ousting former junior national champion Zubin Leninwala 3-2 in the quarter-final earlier in the day, prevailed over Rawat 53-10 75-61 17-54 28-60 56-15 18-73 72-37 in the semis held here this afternoon.

Rawat, who had fired an unfinished break of 113 on way to overcome Aashit Pandya 3-1 in the quarter-final, could not reproduce the same form against Chadha.
 

Chadha is to meet Aditya Agrawal of Indian Snooker Academy in the final tomorrow.

Agrawal ousted Anurag Giri of Madhya Pradesh 4-1 in the other semi-final. The winner came through 68-21 72(50)-67 34-51 69-29 75(62)-49.
