Chain snatched from a former women's college principal

A former principal of a women's college was robbed of her chain at Sidgora under Sidgora police station today.

Police said 60-year-old Uma Sinha, a former principal of Graduate College for Women here, was returning home when a miscreant snatched her gold chain and decamped in a two-wheeler.

The incident took place soon after Sinha got down from an auto rickshaw and started proceeding towards her home when the miscreant came from behind and snatched the chain, police said.

A case has been registered in this connection, police said adding that police has verifying the footage of CCTV camera installed in the vicinity to apprehend the culprit.
