Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today approved the appointment of Justice (retd) P K Mushahary as Chairman of the Assam Police Accountability Commission, official sources said.
Besides the Chairman, retired Meghalaya DGP Sibabrata Kakoty and retired Assam Additional Chief Secretary Parul Devi Das were appointed as members of the Commission, they said.
The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary also to start the process for appointment of both the Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner, sources added.
