Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (CFCL) will commission its brown-field project in Kota, Rajasthan by January 2019, Parliament was informed today.

CFCL has proposed to establish a brown-field project at Gadepan in Kota with a capacity to produce 1.34 million tonnes fertilisers per annum, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Mansukh L Mandaviya said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

"CFCL has reported that the progress of the project is on the way to achieve the commissioning of the plant by January 2019," he said.

On other new plants, the minister said state-run FCI Aravali and Mineral India Ltd (FAGMIL) is in the process to install a single super phosphate (SSP) plant with a capacity of 800 tonnes per day in Mataji ki Pandoli village of Chittorgarh.

The Rajasthan State Pollution State Board has already issued 'environment clearance' and 'consent to establish' the project to FAGMIL, he said.

Topographical survey and geo-technical investigation work has already been completed. Presently, tenders are under preparation for plant construction work, he added.

Replying to a separate query, the minister said the fertiliser subsidy arrears stood at Rs 3,040.52 till January of this year.
