Chana prices moved down by 0.60 per cent to Rs 2,665 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions amidst increased arrivals from producing regions.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in July fell by Rs 16, or 0.60 per cent to Rs 2,665 per quintal with an open interest of 73,220 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in August traded lower by Rs 15, or 0.54 per cent to Rs 2,776 per quintal in 1,39,940 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to increased arrivals from producing regions against sluggish demand in the spot market.
