Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices fell by 0.91 per cent to Rs 3,497 per quintal in futures market today owing to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in January fell by Rs 32, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 3,497 per quintal with an open interest of 15,060 lots.

Likewise, the commodity for delivery in February traded lower by Rs 20, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 3,466 per quintal in 1,11,240 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators triggered by subdued demand in spot market against adequate stocks position mainly influenced chana prices at futures trade.
