Chana prices fell by 0.56 per cent to Rs 3,190 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amid a weak trend at spot market on low demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in November fell by Rs 18, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 3,190 per quintal with an open interest of 90,960 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in December lost Rs 12, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 3,158 per quintal in 67,520 lots.

Market analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to low demand in the spot markets against adequate stocks position.
