Chana prices eased further by 0.69 per cent to Rs 3,731 per quintal in futures market today as participants cut bets, tracking a weak trend at spot market on low demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in April fell by Rs 26, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 3,731 per quintal with an open interest of 26,000 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in May contracts was trading lower by Rs 25, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 3,748 per quintal in 76,110 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand from dal mills in the physical market against ample stocks position on increased arrivals from growing regions kept chana prices down in futures trade.
