Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices moved up by 0.97% to Rs 2,697 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions after demand picked up in the spot market.

At the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in July rose Rs 26, or 0.97% to Rs 2,696 per quintal with an open interest of 31,600 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in August gained Rs 24, or 0.86% to Rs 2,815 per quintal in 1,53,880 lots.

Analysts said the rise in chana prices at futures trade was mostly attributed to speculators enlarging positions following rising demand in the spot market.
