Chana prices moved down by 1.69 per cent to Rs 4,168 per quintal in futures trade today as investors booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in this month's contract fell by Rs 72, or 1.69 per cent, to Rs 4,168 per quintal with an open interest of 38,630 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in September declined by Rs 69, or 1.61 per cent, to Rs 4,206 per quintal in 74,360 lots.
