Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices declined by 2.73 per cent to Rs 5,521 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced exposure amid subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in November fell by Rs 155, or 2.73 per cent, to Rs 5,521 per quintal, with an open interest of 26,340 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in current month declined by Rs 138, or 2.44 per cent, to Rs 5,520 per quintal in 11,640 lots.

Marketmen said trimming of positions by traders on the back of easing demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position, mainly influenced chana prices at futures trade.
