Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Friday visited the house of slain party MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao in the agency area of the district and consoled his family members.
Naidu arrived here this morning by a special flight and left for Paderu by a helicopter to meet the family members of Araku MLA Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma, who were gunned by Maoists at Lippitiputta village when they went to take part in a "grama darsini" (village visit) programme on September 23.
Expressing his anguish over the incident, Naidu said there was no place for violence in democracy.
He consoled the two sons of Rao and promised to help family members on all fronts.
The chief minister said the government would provide a Group One job to one of Rao's sons and a plot for constructing a house in Visakhapatnam besides financial help of Rs five lakh each to all the four members of his family on behalf of the party.

He also said the government will provide financial support of Rs one crore to the family.
Naidu said Rao always strove hard for the development of agency areas.
He would also visit the house of Soma in Arakuto to console his family members.
Security was stepped up in the agency area in view of the chief minister's visit.
