The Ajsu party Monday announced that Jharkhand Water Resources Minister and senior party leader Chandraprakash Choudhary would be its candidate for the Giridih Lok Sabha seat.
Jharkhand has 14 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP has left Giridih seat to its NDA partner Ajsu party, which was earlier known as All Jharkhand Students Union.
"Ajsu party leader Chandraprakash Choudhary will be the NDAs candidate from Giridih Lok Sabha seat," Ajsu party president and former deputy chief minister Sudesh Mahto said here.
The BJP has already announced names of candidates in 10 Lok Sabha seats.
Both the NDA allies had contested separately in the 2014 Lok Sabha election and the BJP had won 12 out of the 14 seats in the state.
Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand will be held in four phases from April 29.
