Brahmapuri taluka in the district came a close second with mercury touching 46 degree Celsius, Met officials said.
According to Regional Meteorological Centre, Nagpur city today recorded a scorching 45.1 degree Celsius.
Temperatures in other parts in Vidarbha are as follows: Amravati-44, Akola-44.4, Gondia-44.3, Wardha-45.9, Washim-42.2 and Yavatmal-43 degree celsius.
