Virdi, who inaugurated a pump station for giving potable water to 100 families in Jalpaiguri Dooars area, said the Maynaguri-Jogighopa line will be laid by 2014 March.
To ensure passengers' security, cctvs would be installed in 16 big stations of NFR in the division, he said.
The railways would also introduce ultra-modern signalling system in the division for averting mishaps, he said.
