The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested a drug smuggler and his two woman aides and seized 1.8 kg of charas (hashish) from them, an official said Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, NCB officials arrested the trio from a place near the Kurla bus depot in central Mumbai Thursday and seized the drug, he said.
The official did not reveal the accused's names.
The accused smuggled charas to Gulf countries from India and brought gold back to the country, the official said.
Preliminary probe revealed that the man among the three arrested accused was the kingpin of this racket which had links with the international narcotic trade, he said.
Further investigation is on, the official added.
