Police today filed a charge sheet in a local court against a Congress MLA for allegedly morphing pictures of RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat and Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta P P Naolekar with the intention of establishing the latter's association with the Sangh parivar.

The charge sheet was filed against Kalpana Parulekar in the court of Additional Sessions Judge B S Bhadoria under forgery-related sections of Indian Penal Code (465, 469, 471) and Information Technology Act.

The court has framed the charges and the trial would start soon.

A case was registered against Parulekar on the complaint of Gopal Krishna Dandotia, a local, in November 2011.

She is accused of distributing copies of the doctored picture in the Assembly premises while staging a protest against the alleged association between Lokayukta and the ruling BJP.

Kalpana was arrested after the complaint was lodged and released on bail after a month.

The court today fixed the next hearing for September 29.
