Press Trust of India New Delhi
DCW chief Swati Maliwal today alleged that the charge sheet filed against her by the ACB in a case of alleged irregularities in recruitment in the women's panel was an attempt to stop her anti-prostitution drive at GB road and investigation in rape complaints against three political leaders.

Maliwal was today chargesheeted in a special court by the Anti-Corruption Branch in the case.

"First of all, a false FIR was registered and now a charge sheet has been filed secretly which is strange as just today we received a notice from ACB and they have sought more documents related to the case which means that the probe is still on. So how could they submit the charge sheet?" Maliwal asked.

She further alleged that she was being persecuted due to her attempts to find out the owners of the buildings on GB road where prostitution rackets are being run and which politicians' support they have.

"ACB's filing of charge sheet is an attempt to threaten us and thwart our attempts to end prostitution from GB Road," Maliwal claimed.

She also claimed to have received complaints of rape against three leaders of a big political party and she was being pressurised to settle the cases.

"We are being pressurised to settle complaints of rape against three leaders of a big political party. We are an apolitical body and we do not want to do any politics because of which are not making the names of the leaders public. But we will definitely act if a women approaches the Commission for help," Maliwal said.

The charge sheet was filed before Special ACB Judge at Tis Hazari Court against Maliwal for the alleged offences under section 13 (criminal misconduct by public servant) of the Prevention of Corruption Act and sections 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.

The court is yet to take cognisance of it.
Kejriwal, in a tweet, said. "3 FIRs against Sheila

Dikshit n 1 against Mukesh Ambani pending in ACB for more than 2 yrs. No action? (sic)"

He was referring to former Delhi Chief Minister Dikshit and Reliance Industries head Ambani.
