A magistrate's court today framed charges against two persons for allegedly forging the will of Sardar Akthar, wife of famous director Mehboob Khan of Mehboob Studio.

"The court framed charges against Jehnzeb Chinoy and Rashmikant Parikh under relevant sections of IPC," advocate Ranjeet Pawar, who filed a complaint on behalf of one Suhail Junjua, the nephew of Sardar Aktar, said.

He had filed a complaint in the court of metropolitan magistrate in South Mumbai in 1996, against Chinoy and her chartered accountant Parikh.

According to Junjua, his cousin-sister Chinoy and Parikh forged the will of Sardar Aktar and grabbed all her properties.

Pawar said the court had directed the Coloba police to investigate the case.

"The state examiner of document opined that the signature in the will did not match with that of Sardar Aktar," Pawar said.

Pawar added that the court, after considering the evidence, came to the conclusion that there is sufficient material and evidence against the duo and framed charges.

Mehboob Khan was a pioneer, producer-director of Hindi cinema, best known for directing the social epic 'Mother India' which won the Filmfare Awards for Best Film.
