: The charred bodies of a woman and her daughter were recovered from a house here today.
Based on complaints that foul smell was emanating from a partially damaged house on Avanashi road, police rushed to the spot and found the completely charred bodies.
The woman was staying in the house with her mentally deranged son and her daughter, they said
The son was reportedly missing since a fortnight.
As only the bones are available, doctors are carrying out post mortem at the spot and preliminary report suggested that the women were burnt some 15 days ago.
