Chartered accountant killed in road accident

A 24-year-old chartered accountant was crushed to death by a Haryana Roadways bus in the Badarpur area of South-East Delhi this afternoon, police said.

The accident took place around 12:30 pm when Saksham, son of the registrar of Manav Rachna University in Faridabad, was riding his motorcycle on Mathura road.

According to an eyewitness account, Saksham fell off the motorbike after being hit by the bus and was crushed under its rear wheels.

Following the accident, the driver fled leaving the bus on the spot, a police officer said.

Police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving causing death against the driver and the vehicle has been seized. A manhunt has been launched to nab the driver, said the officer.
