Planning Commission member B K Chaturvedi today called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma at Raj Bhawan here and discussed several issues pertaining to the state's development.
During the meeting, they discussed on expediting the Naharlagun-Harmuti railway project and reintroducing of flights at Lilabari Airport, a Raj Bhawan communique said.
Chaturvedi along with Planning Commission adviser (transport) Manoj Kumar and adviser (NE) Brohmo Choudhury, NF Railways GM and chief administrative officers A S Garud and Kul Shreshtha arrived here from New Delhi yesterday on a two-day inspection trip of various central projects.

The governor, who has been touring different parts of the state, apprised the PC member on overall development scenario of the state, including works taken up under PM package.
He also highlighted the sectors which need special consideration of the central government through Planning Commission for upliftment of the people especially the rural populace and people living in border areas, the communique added.
