A bitter fight is in the offing in Jat dominated Uchana seat from where former Haryana minister Birender Singh had lost to INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala with only 621 votes and is seeking to turn the tables on his rival by fielding his wife against Chautala's grandson in the October 15 Assembly poll.
Among nearly 1.8 lakh voters in Uchana, Jat community dominates with sizable number of over 90,000.
The constituency was represented by Chautala, who had won from two seats in the 2009 Assembly polls, but preferred to retain this seat after defeating Birender Singh by a narrow margin of 621 votes.

Birender, a former Haryana Minister, joined the BJP recently after snapping 42-year-old association with Congress, mainly over his tussle for power with Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
For the October 15 polls, BJP has made Birender's wife Prem Lata (64) as its candidate from Uchana while INLD has pushed its Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala (26) into the fray in the wake of O P Chautala's sentencing in a teachers recruitment scam last year.
Dushyant is the son of senior INLD leader Ajay Singh Chautala, who too was sentenced among others, in the JBT case.
Among a total of 14 candidates in the fray from here include Congress' Bhag Singh Chatter, CPI's Inder Datt, Samajwadi Party's Jagroop Singh and Haryana Janhit Congress' Bijender.
Traditionally, Uchana has been Birender Singh's bastion since he won the seat in 1977. However, in 1987, riding on 'Devi Lal wave', INLD won seat.
In 2000 also, INLD candidate won the seat. But Birender again wrested it in 2005 when Congress swept the Haryana polls. However, in 2009, Birender lost narrowly.
Birender is now supervising his wife's poll campaign in the constituency.
Dushyant, the youngest parliamentarian, is confident of his victory.
He says that he got overwhelming support from voters even during the Lok Sabha polls, since he won sizable votes from Uchana, a part of the Hisar LS constituency.
